After a great start to the new school year on August 11, this week we continued our tradition of reaching out and sharing our gifts with our first-of-the-year Community Service Day. Our students divided into 9 groups, each one led by a grade 11/12 student and comprising children of all grades, went out to make a difference.
From maintaining trails in the reserve and cleaning at the CASEM women’s co-operative, to doing yardwork for elder members or picking up garbage and recycling downtown, the children and teachers shared their Joy and service and connected to the community in a fun, hands-on way.
