Riah Newfont hails from Asheville, North Carolina and is grateful for this opportunity to live and teach in Monteverde. A graduate of Haverford College, she worked as an Afterschool Program Coordinator, Forest School Teacher, Tutor, and Summer Camp Coordinator before coming to MFS. She is passionate about bilingual education that inspires creativity, confidence, and a relationship with the natural world. Outside of the classroom, Riah spends her time running herself ragged in ultimate frisbee, writing stories only her grandparents will ever read, and attempting to dance.
